So, it’s been pointed out to me recently that my blog is looking more like a shrine to my children and less a place of business. It’s cool. People like to see actual CLIENTS and not my totally adorable, cherubic little darlings. I get it. I’m just really, really great at keeping up with the needs of my clients, not so great at making time for the blog. I keep up with my Life Stories posts because I have a ring of photographers who would come after me with torches and pitch forks, should I miss a post and screw up the circle! (Love you all!! Don’t hurt me…) Anyway, I was looking over wedding images shot this weekend with my dear friend Jenica of Lemon Drops Photography. Love that chick. I decided to edit a few favs. Then, I decided I’d be totally crazy-like and actually POST them. On my blog. A place for CLIENT images! (Be warned, my Life Stories series will still be posted on Friday…and it will contain multiple pics of my angels)
Now, a couple things about these. #1, this beautiful bride kept saying over and over, “I feel so awkward. I’m just not natural in front of a camera!” I think nearly every bride I’ve shot has said this. You know what, you are STUNNING on your wedding day. Stunning! Please don’t ever stress about being awkward or looking anything less than completely amazing. It’s our job as photographers to shoot you in a manner that flatters you
#2, when I meet prospective brides, they thumb through images and say things like, “Well, my venue is not nearly as gorgeous as this!!” I’m telling you right now that most of the images you see below were shot in the corner of a church basement. Seriously. #3, I obviously have some serious love for bridals because those are always the first images I edit!

It’s true, Amber. I WOULD come after you with a pitchfork if you missed a Life Stories post, but I think I may need to start coming at you with a pitchfork for not posting more of your amazing wedding images. These are gorgeous. The bride is stunning, your use of light is mind boggling, and I honestly am here to encourage you to blog EVERY wedding, and if that’s too overwhelming, then how about a “best of?” Because, Amber, your work speaks to me. Your use of light moves me. Your compositions wow me. And, it goes without saying, but I adore you.
Laura, you are such a beautiful person. Thank you for making my day, yet again <3
Amber, I love your blogs! These photos are absolutely fabulous! And you are correct — the bride is beautiful and stunning! Nice work, my dear! Love you!
Those first 3 images are my favorite. Lovely work. & don’t worry about the shrine to your kids comments. Your kids are just as important as any of your clients and the images you produce of them are fantastic. We love seeing them.
I feel like these are straight out of a fairy tale – they feel so magical! Amazing as always amber!!

I look forward to ANY and EVERY post on your blog. I seriously stalk you (ok, not you, but your blog)
because you’re AMAZING! I agree with Laura above…your lighting, your composition – all of it! You inspire me, and I can’t get enough of your work. And I love the images of your kiddos just as much as your wedding images! Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for all of your inspiration!
These are magical, Amber – just plain magical!

Sigh. Your images evoke so much emotion! <3 And your processing is to die for!
It’s hard to make a comment without it sounding like all of the previous comments but I’ll try! Your work is amazing, stunning, inspiring…I LOVE how you use light. I love how you capture people and I love the stories you tell. You are a true artist.
