When I was contacted about shooting an extended family session up in the Seattle area, I couldn’t pass up the chance to make a trip north!  Especially when I found out we’d be shooting in the cherry blossoms AND that this family had yet to have a formal family portrait since the birth of their 6 year old grandchild!  For anyone who knows me, you know family photos are SO important to me.  I had to do this session.  They needed images of that beautiful granddaughter on their walls like, YESTERDAY!  Haha!  This wasn’t a typical session for me, but this isn’t your typical family either.  They were fun and engaging and full of life!  And can I also add very well dressed?  When I saw how wonderfully coordinated they were without being overly “matched,” I was beside myself!  I truly enjoyed our time spent together, despite the soggy ground and constant rain.   I’m also very happy that we found blooming trees at Fairwood Golf and Country Club.  I know that was important to them! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and a perfect setting for this wonderful family.

Brrrr….this was a damp and chilly session!  Sun would’ve been a miracle, so we were at least hoping for a break in the rain for our session…NO such luck!  Thank goodness for diehard Washingtonians. ;)   It was cold and a bit miserable, but they were not the slightest bit put out by the constant drizzle!  Enough talk…here is a little peek at their session this past Sunday!  Enjoy!

And my goodness.  Her energy and laughter were infectious!!  It didn’t take long for her to warm up to the camera ;)   Such a doll.
