New babies are always big news, but there’s something a little different about your first pregnancy.  You’re excited, but you have NO idea what you’re in for yet 😉  I love meeting couples who are expecting their first little one.  The anticipation of parenthood is so absolutely and amazingly beautiful.  I’ve known these parents-to-be for many years now.  My husband and I were so happy when we first heard they were expecting, but I was beside myself when they asked me to photograph them.  To say that they were BOTH glowing would be an understatement.  Watching them together and the way they already speak to and of that little one, it’s obvious to me what wonderful parents they will be.

Some of you have already seen a few of these on my Facebook page (yes, believe it or not, I’m a wee bit behind in my blogging…), so, sorry for the repeats but there are a few more in here that you haven’t seen yet.  Promise. Enjoy!

Okay, okay. NOT what you’re typically used to seeing from me, right? But boy oh boy, isn’t he one of the most precious little newborns you’ve ever seen? The snuggles, the new baby smell, the little coos and sleepy squeaks… Yep. I got to enjoy ALL of those without the misery of the sleepless nights and dirty diapers 😉 Yes, I know I’m lucky!

Obviously, his parents are quite smitten with him! Who wouldn’t be!? I enjoyed every minute of this session 🙂

Okay, I know this is a little late and I KNOW this is a total brag post (I’m not even gonna TRY to mask that little fact!  Haha!), but dang, I was excited about this and finally had an opportunity to sit and post about it!  I don’t know if you’ve heard of a national blog called The Maternal Lens, but if you follow photography you’ll know that it’s a biggie!  And guess you they featured?  Little ‘ol ME!!  Yip, yip!  So, if you’re interested in seeing this little gem of an article (and yes, there are photos!), then get that clickin’ finger ready and pop into the link below!

And because I can’t have an image-less post on my blog, here’s one from my Bits n’ Pieces. BnP’s are little glimpses into my personal life…snaps of my kids, me, us livin’ and lovin’ (because that’s what it’s all about 😉 )  I usually keep these on Facebook, but since this is a “me” post anyway, I figured I’d throw it on here!

It’s been 2 years in the making, but it’s finally happened…we’ve moved!  My poor blog has been horribly neglected this spring as I’ve been working hard to balance sessions, packing and 2 toddlers!  It was a long and difficult process, but we up and moved all the way across the state to the Portland/Vancouver area.  You’ll be flooded by posts from me very soon, promise.

And no post is complete without a photo of some sort, so here is one from good ol’ Pullman.

Is it possible to have baby fever even with your own baby at home?  I swear, each little snuggle I stole from Mr R tugged at my heart strings!  He was a perfect reminder that they are only this tiny once.  They grow up all too quickly.  Little R was a sweetheart and so was his mama.  We couldn’t get him to sleep, despite all our attempts, but oh, he was still so adorable!  Thank  you both for putting up with me for so long on Saturday afternoon!
