Love is beautiful, love is sweet, love is gracious and graceful, love is fun, love is laughter during good times and bad, love is everything.  This couple defined the word love.  To say they were enamored by each other is an understatement!  I recently found myself in the Atlanta, GA area and I felt so blessed to be there in person to capture their emotions in photos!  This is why I love what I do!

Without boring you with more words, I’ll let the images speak for themselves!  I truly hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

It’s been 2 years in the making, but it’s finally happened…we’ve moved!  My poor blog has been horribly neglected this spring as I’ve been working hard to balance sessions, packing and 2 toddlers!  It was a long and difficult process, but we up and moved all the way across the state to the Portland/Vancouver area.  You’ll be flooded by posts from me very soon, promise.

And no post is complete without a photo of some sort, so here is one from good ol’ Pullman.

Well, I was totally looking forward to a vacation and my time off, but I just found myself bored and aching to pick up my camera for a session!!  I’m technically still on break, but thought I’d post this engagement session I shot while on vacation.  They were such a beautiful couple and SO in love!  I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions.  The love and passion the couples share have me on a high for days afterward!  Today I’m sitting bundled up in my home, cringing at the thought of going out in the snow.  However, one look at these photos and remnants of warm weather, salty ocean breezes and young love are enough to put a smile on my face and bring hope that spring will be here soon!

Enjoy the sneak peek!

I was recently in San Diego and while there, had the honor of shooting the family of fellow photographer and good friend, Shari of Shari Lynn Photography.   I’ve always known that I was made for warm weather.  After this last session on the sunny shores of the Pacific, I know for certain that I could shoot on the beach every day of my life an be happy!

Shari’s family was so much fun to work with.  Imagine how much energy a typical 3 year old has and multiply that times two!  Those girls are so full of life!  They had me laughing the entire session.  Shari, thank you for allowing me the pleasure of working with your beautiful family.  It’s so clear how much you and T adore those little girls and the love you and T share is amazing.  I hope you enjoy this preview!

I absolutely love that you can see the look of sheer joy on your little one’s face in the reflection in the photo on the right!

And the best part about shooting a fellow photographer?  They pose patiently while  I get to play!

A bit different, but I really thought this turned out pretty cool!

I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting the most adorable couple last night!  I had scouted out a few new locations and was so excited to use them.  S & B were up for anything, which is a photographer’s dream!  They humored me as we raced all over town!  The sun is setting so early these days that we had to hurry before losing the light.  I wish it was summer year round!

S & B, thank you both for allowing me to photograph you!  I hope you like your sneak peek!

I don’t typically share personal photos here on this blog, but I’ve been on vacation again and wanted to post something!  These are our portraits by Tara Staton of Sequim, WA.  She is an amazing photographer and an absolute sweetheart!  Really, if you’re ever in Western Washington, please look her up!  She’s wonderful!

There’s a MAJOR problem with all of these photos.  My issue is…I cannot decide which ones to blow up huge and hang on my walls!  At least one of these will be a 30×40 canvas. I’ll also be doing a couple 16×20 gallery mounts as well as storyboards.  I’m planning on a very large display in my living room.  In fact, I think I’ll post a sample display here so you can all see what I’ve decided on!  Also, it will give you a better idea of what a large display looks like!

I think this will be a storyboard!

I finally got away for a much needed vacation!  It was wonderful.  While away, I had the pleasure of meeting up with another photographer friend in Sequim, WA!  The incredibly talented Tara Staton and her gorgeous family met with us and we took photos of each other’s families.  It was a little crazy with two 3 year olds and a 10 month old that had missed her naps, but we still had a great time!  Tara is a fantastic photographer and I felt so honored to both capture photos of her family and to have her beautiful work gracing my walls!  Please check out her site at:

They are such a beautiful family!
